Who is York Young Professionals
York Young Professionals was founded in 1999, with the goal of fostering interaction between young professionals, community residents, stakeholdersand our business community. YYP has worked hard to fulfill its mission by creating positive opportunities for networking, community outreach and professional identity. YYP members enjoy a full social calendar that includes monthly socials and meet ups, service outreach projects, professional development seminars, group dine outs and arts and entertainment events. Several times a year, YYP hosts citywide events like The Annual Home Tour and the Passport Partner Scavenger Hunt. In the past year, YYP's membership has grown to more than 200 members, whose professions span a wide spectrum of business, non-profit, public and private sector jobs. Although our median member age is between 25-35, YYP considers "young" a state of mind, not a number. We welcome members of all ages to join.Read more
