Broadening and Narrowing Your Search
If your list of search results contains too few results, you can broaden your search by using one of these strategies:
- Use fewer search fields: Leave fields blank whenever possible.
- Add variations and synonyms to the keywords fields: Read the Using Search Operators article for hints on building a successful string of variations and synonyms.
- Expand your location: Search a state instead of a metro region; search a metro region instead of a ZIP Code; search several states in a region instead of just one.
- Investigate an industry: Don't search for people at a single company or a short list of companies when you can search the whole industry and find many relevant people at companies you do not know.
