Drip Campaigns are email marketing campaigns that send, or "drip," a pre-written set of messages to customers or prospects over time. Drip marketing is distinct from other database marketing in two ways: the timing of the messages follow a pre-determined course; and the messages are dripped in a series that will hopefully trigger a desired course of action from the recipient.
