Continuing our momentum from the Sales 2.0 Conference in Boston earlier this week, the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals (AA-ISP) has named ZoomInfo “Provider of the Year” in the SaaS, CRM, Productivity category.
Inside sales is becoming increasingly important for b-to-b growth. According to a study by SKKU and MIT in conjunction with infoUSA, inside sales organizations are growing 15 times faster than outside sales. The award is significant because it recognizes ZoomInfo for the company’s ability to drive productivity and results for inside sales organizations.
ZoomInfo is a standalone SaaS that provides sales teams with access to broad, fresh and deep information on 45 million of people and 5 million companies. By integrating its software with several CRM companies, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle CRM On Demand, Salesforce.com, b-to-b sales reps can identify new leads and update prospects from within their company’s CRM software.
“Arming an inside sales team with prospect intelligence on people and companies is essential to driving leads and creating a top-performing sales organization,” said Sam Zales, president of ZoomInfo, in a news release. “It is a source of pride to be recognized by the AA-ISP awards for ZoomInfo’s unique role in helping inside sales professionals exceed their quota and, at the same time, create efficiencies within the sales operations environment.”

“Inside sales is becoming increasingly important for b-to-b growth.” All I can say to this is “it’s about time.” The inside telesales model is a great way to reach the middle market, enterprise accounts and anyone else that wants to buy over the phone. It’s efficient, it’s effective and it’s really hard to knock the economics of it – when it’s well executed.
