Zoom Information's Rapid Growth Causes Move To New Location, Doubles Space
June 6, 2005 - Waltham, Mass. - Zoom Information, Inc., the search engine that extracts and summarizes people information (www.zoominfo.com), has moved its corporate headquarters to a new, larger location in Waltham, Mass, from its original Cambridge, Mass. offices. The new offices are nearly twice the size of the previous facility, and the company has the first option to take twice as much additional space in the same building for future growth.
Zoom Information began marketing its subscription products in 2002 as Eliyon Technologies after two years in development. Since 2002, the company has doubled and tripled it work force and customer base, year over year, and is now the talent sourcing tool of choice for 20% of the Fortune 500. The company was re-launched in March 2005 as Zoom Information with the addition of a free consumer people-search site to its successful enterprise subscription products, and has seen a three-orders-of-magnitude jump in traffic to its sites.
"Strong customer demand for ZoomInfo's summarization search technology from corporate and consumer users proves the need for a next-generation better search experience, and ZoomInfo's expanding product line satisfies that need," said Gary Halliwell, president of Zoom Information. "In addition to the more robust search we're providing our existing clients from several product enhancements in the first half of the year, we'll soon be adding search tools for new markets and launching entirely new products. As a result, our growing infrastructure and human capital requirements absolutely necessitated a move."
Zoom Information also recently entered an agreement with Savvis for to host and manage its Web server and storage needs to provide for flexible and rapidly scalable infrastructure to support the rapidly expanding customer demands.
