Rich Carpenter, President, Carpenter Associates

Rich is president of Carpenter Associates, a consulting firm that provides strategic planning, business development and product marketing assistance to early-stage software and Internet companies. He co-founded Index Systems, Index Technology and Corex Technology, and is trustee of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council. Rich is also a founding member of the Common Angels and was for many years a director of the Software Division of ITAA. He is a member of ACM and IEEE and holds SB and SM degrees in electrical engineering from MIT.

Steve Ricci, Managing Director, Flagship Ventures

Steve has over 30 years of experience in the venture capital industry and has developed a deep and broad understanding of the businesses and business models in the information and communications technology sector. Prior to his current role at Flagship Ventures, Steve held general partner roles at OneLiberty Ventures and Palmer Partners. Steve's early career includes several years in manufacturing engineering with DuPont and Cambridge Tool. He has an engineering degree from Tufts University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Christopher Lynch, General Partner, Ascent Venture Partners

Chris has more than 30 years of venture capital experience, most recently as a general partner at Ascent. Prior to joining Ascent in 1985, Chris was an investment officer and vice president at the Massachusetts Capital Corporation and president of MCC Corp., which specialized in the technology and broadcasting industries. Chris began his venture capital career in 1977 at TA Associates, focusing on communications and media investments. He has a BS in political science from Colgate University and an MBA from Harvard University.

Jonathan Stern, CEO and Chief Scientist, ZoomInfo

Jonathan founded ZoomInfo in 2000 and is its chief executive officer and chief scientist. Prior to ZoomInfo, Jonathan founded CardScan and was president and CEO from the company's inception to its acquisition in 2006. Under his leadership, CardScan became the leading business card reading solution, reaching over 90 percent market share. Before CardScan, Jonathan co-founded ServiceSoft, where he served as president and CEO for 10 years. He earned both a master's and bachelor's degree cum laude in computer science from The Technion, Israel's most prestigious institute of technology.

Michael Tyrrell, General Partner, Venrock Associates

In 1999, Mike became a general partner at Venrock, a venture capital firm specializing in technology, healthcare, media and energy. Prior to that, he spent nine years at Spyglass, the creator of the first Internet browser, Mosaic. He also served in management roles at start-up technology companies Multiflow Computer and Celerity. Mike began his career at Prime Computer and has a BS in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.
