Isaac Mitropoulos is a second-year Infectious Diseases Research Fellow at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Dr. Mitropoulos is appointed as a clinical instructor for the Department of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and conducts research for the Antibiotic Pharmacodynamic Research Institute under the direction of Dr. John Rotschafer. In addition to his teaching and research endeavors, Dr. Mitropoulos maintains his clinical practice in an on-call capacity at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Dr. Mitropoulos has authored scientific, clinical and educational publications and currently serves as a reviewer for the Annals of Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Mitropoulos studied biology at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, graduating cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Science and minors in both English literature and chemistry. He attended the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in Oklahoma City earning his Doctorate in Pharmacy and nearly completing a Masters in Science. Dr. Mitropoulos received his residency training as a PGY-1 at The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha before arriving in Minnesota to pursue an Infectious Diseases Fellowship.
