Robert L. Labbé is an attorney and senior executive in the field of mortgage banking services.In 2007 he founded and serves as President , Chairman and General Counsel of MorCap Fund Advisors, LLC www.morcapadvisors.com, a management consulting firm specializing in mortgage banking which serves capital market investors in the acquisition and management of subperforming residential mortgage loans and REO in select markets throughout the United States.In 2003 he co-founded and through 2007 served as General Counsel and Managing Director of Lenders Direct Capital Corporation, a nationwide mortgage banker.Mr. Labbé began his career in 1984 as an attorney for the national law firm of Martineau Walker in Canada where he served for five (5) years, representing clients such as Royal Trust Company, Pepsi Cola (Canada), Olivetti (Canada) and World Wildlife Fund. After relocating to California in 1989 Mr. Labbé began practicing mortgage banking law, most notably as founding attorney for DiTech, one of the nation's premier lenders, where he was an integral part of its nationwide growth prior to its acquisition by GMAC.
