Biography

Scott is currently the Director of Sales with Altos Research (www.altosresearch.com), a Silicon Valley-based company that provides real-time real estate market analytics. Clients of Altos Research include bulge-bracket investment banks, equity funds, hedge funds, mortgage lenders, and real estate market professionals.He has previous experience in start-ups with Aplia, Inc., an educational software company, that was recently sold to Thomson Education (now Cengage Learning). Scott also teaches Finance as an adjunct lecturer at the University of San Francisco and Management with Saint Leo University. He has also taught Economics at California State University, East Bay.Previously Scott was the Founder and Managing Principal of Economic Information Services LLC, a company that provided international business advisory and project management services in Central Asia and Ukraine. His expertise includes financial modeling & forecasting, investment valuations, and market evaluation. In 2004, Scott lived in Almaty, Kazakhstan, completing business and academic research, teaching in the Finance Department at the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics, and Strategic Research University (KIMEP), and developing the local office operations for Economic Information Services. Scott’s education includes an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University with a concentration in Finance, an MA in International & Development Economics from the University of San Francisco, and a BA in History from Winthrop University. Scott has been recognized for his academic research as a recipient of the University of San Francisco International & Development Economics Field Research Grant Award, the Winthrop Academic Scholars Award, and presented an academic paper on foreign direct investment at the Western Economics Association conference in July 2007.
