Jeremy Bachmann is online marketing expert and a former principal in the Espenschied-Bachmann Group (EBG), which he formed with David Espenschied, former CEO of Countrywide Home Loans’ E-Business Division and President of Discover Brokerage, one of the first leaders in online trading. Jeremy was most recently Vice President of E-Business at United California Bank, the new venture that arose from the merger of Sanwa Bank California and Tokai Bank of California. Upon arriving, he oversaw the rapid development of a 270+ page website in English and Chinese for the new bank. In the six months after the site was completed, online applications at UCB rose 675% and online banking enrollments increased 73%.Prior to that, Jeremy was Vice President of Online Marketing and Strategy for Countrywide, a Fortune 500 financial services firm and largest online lender, originating over $5 billion in mortgage loans online each month. He managed all facets of online marketing, including online advertising and media buying, strategic partnerships, email marketing, and search engine optimization. He also played a lead role on the design, content, and architecture for www.fullspectrumlending.com, a Countrywide subsidiary and one of the largest subprime lenders in the United States. Jeremy worked on the team that designed first versions of www.countrywide.com and Countrywide Insurance Services’ www.cwinsurance.com.Jeremy has been acknowledged for his work in publications such as AdAge’s B2B and Clickz, the leading online marketing site. His work for Full Spectrum Lending served as a case study in a 2001 book, Permission-Based E-Mail Marketing that Works.
