Dr. Michael Tischler is a nationally recognized leader in the dental field for his achievements in educating his colleagues through lectures and published articles. He received a Doctor Of Dental Surgery Degree from the Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C., before joining Tischler Dental in 1989. Dr. Tischler brings dental implant, bone grafting and gum surgery experience to the dental practice, in addition to prosthetic and cosmetic makeover dental procedures. Dr. Tischler lectures throughout the country to his colleagues and has had many articles published on the principles of implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and bone grafting in major dental journals. Dr. Tischler has been listed by "Dentistry Today," the nation's leading clinical news magazines for dentists, as a leader in continuing education since 2003 and is also a contributing editor for this widely read dental journal. Some of his previous lectures have been at International Implant Symposiums, for The Academy Of General Dentistry, The New York County Dental Society, The Toronto Implant Study Club, The Third District Dental Society, The Ninth District Dental Society, The Greater Long Island Dental meeting, The Big Apple Dental Meeting, and The American Academy Of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Michael Tischler was awarded the Feltman-Hunn Medal of Merit for 2007This award given by the Third District Dental Society a component of the New York State dental Association and The American Dental Association, and signifies exceptional leadership and dedication to the art and science of dentistry. Dr. Tischler is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry.There are less than 300 dentists in the world that have achived Diplomate status from the ABOI. He is also a New York University College of Dentistry Research Associate, Diplomat and Fellow of The International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Fellow of The Academy of General Dentistry, Fellow of The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Fellow and graduate of The Misch International Implant Institute surgical and prosthetic programs. Associate Fellow of The American Academy Of Implant Dentistry, and an Associate Member of The American Academy of Periodontology. Obtainment of each one of these credentials requires rigorous testing and case presentation before credentialed peers. Dr. Tischler is also an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Tischler's certification in Conscious IV and oral sedation allows for the lessening of apprehension of patients undergoing dental procedures. Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an adjunct to Dr. Tischler's surgical training.
