Mr. Stern chairs Schnader's Insurance Services Group and is a member of its Aviation, Appellate, and Product Liability Groups. He is a tort and commercial litigator focusing his practice on insurance coverage and aerospace matters.He counsels clients on scope of coverage by insurance policies and litigates insurance coverage disputes. He also defends airlines, aerospace manufacturers, and other businesses against negligence, premises liability, product defect, defamation, and civil rights discrimination claims. He also conducts internal corporate investigations.The National Law Journal awarded “Defense Win of the Month” to a case he tried as co-lead counsel and he was named a Washington, DC, Super Lawyer in the areas of insurance coverage and civil litigation defense in 2007.
