During 2003, we wroked in 4 main projects, such as: Renew the whole own distribution fleet that was completed in January 2004. Clean and put in order all the internal processes. Create a new external transportation group, hiring new fregiht companies in order to get out of the tipycal “truck-man”. Reduce the transportation cost for the company, from 1.15% at the beginning of my participation, to 1.05% at the end of 2003, and to 0.85% by the end of this current year. At this moment I am managing 40,000 trips per year to the stores, running a 81 own fleet, dealing with 25 external fregiht companies, with 95 people reporting directly to me.On October 2004, appointed as Corporate Logistics Director, reporting directly to the company´s C.E.O., and taking charge of the whole logistics operations, inlcuding past responsabilities.
