I worked for American Woodworks in Traveler's Rest, South Carolina for twelve years (1992-2004). Leggett & Platt, Inc. bought the compay in 2003 and then moved the facility to Texas, displacing about 125 men and women. I dediced it was time to find another accupation and started college at Tri-County Technical College Jan., 2005. By June, 2006 I had finished an associate in Accounting and passed the test to be ABA (accredited business accountant) certified that summer. In December, 2006, I had also finished an Associate in Management. I have been with Confluence Watersports since August 28, 2006 starting as a credit analyst in the accounting department and then promoted to freight claims analyst in November 2007. I will be working toward finishing a bachelor degree in business administration starting this summer and will be attending the University of South Carolina.
