Biography

I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in Windows NT4.0 and Microsoft Certified Professional in Windows 2000. I have 27 years of diverse technical experience providing network administration, server, and PC support in government/military environments. I am an excellent problem-solver, with effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. I am a diplomatic leader with the ability to communicate and coordinate with all levels of management and personnel. My current duties include installing, configuring, administering and managing Windows 2000/2003 servers, WINS, DNS, DHCP, email exchange services, multi-vendor printers, and Windows 2000/XP workstations; scanning the local LAN for vulnerabilities utilizing Internet Security System scanner application; providing backup and disaster recovery service with CommVault data backup software; configuring and maintaining the current Cisco network infrastructure of two routers and 35 switches; testing and evaluating new commercial over-the-counter software; administer the System Management Server (SMS) by creating and updating SMS packages in support of an enterprise patch management infrastructure; perform scripting in WSH, VBS, and Kixtart for the domain logon scripts; and provide technical knowledge for customers and technicians. I am the Task Leader for the Network Control Center Helpdesk where I provide guidance and technical assistance at support levels 1, 2, and 3.I offer the technical expertise necessary to keep ahead of users’ demands, the business sense to control costs, and the people skills to motivate teams to want to succeed.My career goal is to become a Network Manager. I want to be part of a global company who appreciates its employees for their performance and contributions.
