From 2006 to 2008, he held the Rohrer Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurial Studies at Rowan University, where he was also a Professor of Management, and Executive Director of the Rowan Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
During 2003-2006, he held the first Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship in Louisiana. At Nicholls State in Thibodaux, Dr. Bryant launched a new undergraduate Concentration in entrepreneurship, and won Board of Regents’ funding for an on-campus business incubator and a digital history project. He was Co-Principal Investigator on a major grant from the US Dept. of Energy to transfer Navy technology to south Louisiana firms.
From 1998-2003, he held the State of New Jersey Chair in Small Business and Entrepreneurship at Rutgers Business School. From 1993-1998, he served as Director of the Burgoyne Centre for Entrepreneurship and Associate Professor at Brock University in Canada's Niagara region.
Before that, he was President / CEO of the Shad Valley organization and CEO of various entrepreneurial ventures.
