Alan Fekete is an academic in the School of Information Technologies of the University of Sydney. He was appointed as Lecturer in 1988 and has been promoted to Associate professor. His research interests include database transaction management, theory of distributed systems, and formal methods. He is active in the Computer Science Education community. He has been named a "Distinguished Scientist" by the ACM.
