Biography

David Court Campise grew up in the Bryan/College Station area where most of his family still lives today. He attended and graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1999 where he played football and was a member of the Tiger Track team. David's passion for farming and ranching began at a young age and was greatly inspired by his grandfather, Joe S. Campise Sr. Joe Campise was an area farmer, and the rest of the Campise family is still very involved in ranching, and to an extent farming in the area. David will be a successful businessman and entrepreneur, but his interests focused on agriculture, thus his studies followed suit and he majored in Agricultural Development at Texas A&M University. David's family has a long history at Texas A&M. His mother's father, Dr. Jack W. Cogswell M.D. attended A&M in the early nineteen fourties, and left school to fulfill his patriotic duty and fight in World War II. Both of David's parents are A&M graduates, as are an Uncle and his sister.David was extatic when A&M began to recruit him to play football during his junior year at A&M Consolidated. He made many visits to A&M and ventured to official visits at other schools as well. He made the commitment to be a member of the Texas A&M football program as a non-scholarship player instead of accepting one of several scholarships offered by other major universities. David spent the whole summer before his freshman year working out with A&M's varsity players in preperation for the season to come. An example of his dedication to making him self better, David set a summer weight training attendance record of 103%! He accomplished this by attending make-up sessions for days he didn't miss. David red-shirted as a freshman in 1999, and was off to a successful start through the spring and fall of 2000 when a degenitive spinal issue sidelined his football career later in the spring of 2001.Instead of wasting time doing nothing, David soon found himself seeking a part-time job to earn income while attending A&M. It wasn't long until he was at his first job outside of the family farming and ranching operation. His experiences with machinery and equipment well suited him as a heavy equipment operator for a contractor that built roads and installed utilities. David received excellent wages throughout this first summer of work, but once classes began in the fall he had to step away from the job because of time constraints. In an effort to find work with more flexible hours he found himself interviewing for a job with a local plumbing contractor. He was hired and found that installing plumbing systems in new homes was something he felt was rewarding. Later the next year he went to work for yet another plumbing contractor where he found higher wages, and spent the next three and a half years there working both full and part-time as school permitted.Realizing that he would be in the Dallas metroplex upon leaving Texas A&M in May of 2006 he began to apply with contractors in North Texas beginning in early March. One place he applied was L&S Plumbing, headquartered in Richardson, TX. It wasn't long before a call-back followed and an interview was scheduled. After visiting with a couple of other companies, David wisely decided to try the big company life where he had his first interview and went to work for the plumbing superpower. David began working with L&S in mid May of 2006.Unsure of where to best use his talents and experience, David soon found himself in a management position in L&S Plumbing's purchasing and distributing division. While overseeing a warehouse the size of L&S' holds great responsibility, it isn't a plumber's dream. Although he may want to some day get back into the producton side of things he is using his time as a manager to further develop his leadership and organizational skills, the foundations for which were laid in the increadible instructional environments presented by Texas A&M's College of Agriculture and Life Science."If I can use my skills, experiences, and knowl
