Mr. Tkachenko is admitted to practice as an attorney in Ukraine and as a foreign legal consultant in Illinois and concentrates his practice in International Law, Corporate and Business Law of Ukraine, Civil Law of Ukraine, Civil and Commercial Litigation in Ukraine; provides consultations on legal aspects of U.S.-Ukrainian trade operations.
Yuriy earned his Master of Jurisprudence degree from Lviv Ivan Franko State University School of Law in 1995.
After graduation, in 1995 – 1996 Mr. Tkachenko was working as a legal consultant at Swiss, German and Polish joint ventures in Ukraine. Since 1996 to 1999 he was employed as Assistant to the Chief Judge of Frankivsky District Court in the City of Lviv. In 1999 Mr. Tkachenko served as a Senior Consultant at Lviv Regional Department of Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. Since 1999 to 2002, Mr. Tkachenko was working as a teacher of Law at Lviv National University School of Law and provided legal consultations. In 2002, Mr. Tkachenko was appointed by the Decree of the President of Ukraine as a District Judge at Mykolaiv District Court of Lviv Region, were he was presiding over trials involving civil, criminal and administrative cases (General Jurisdiction Court). Since 2006 Mr. Tkachenko has been working at the Law Offices of David Freydin, PC. in Chicago, IL..
Mr. Tkachenko represents LAVRYNOVYCH & PARTNERS Law Firm in the State of Illinois.
Mr. Tkachenko also takes additional continuing legal education classes and courses under Illinois Supreme Court Rules 790-797 at Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
Mr. Tkachenko is a member of American Bar Association, The Chicago Bar Association, Ukrainian Bar Association and Ukrainian Attorneys Association.
Yuriy is fluent in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Polish.
