Scott was raised in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York. He graduated from SUNY at Buffalo in 1996, spending his final year abroad at the University of Leicester in England. Scott majored in Politcal Science and minored in International History. Scott received his Juris Doctorate from the New England School of Law in 2000 and served as the President of the National Jewish Law Students Association. Prior to forming the law firm of Cohen & Owens, P.A., Scott was an associate attorney with a major Creditor's Rights firm in South Florida and then later litigated against major insurance companies. Scott's areas of practice include civil litigation, slander of credit, as well as commercial litigation and real estate matters. Scott is a member of several organizations including: Hadassah Attorney's Council, B'Nai B'Rith International, Broward County Bar Association, and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. Scott enjoys traveling and participating in various charitable organizations.
