Kumar Padmanabh has just submitted his PhD thesis in IIT, Kharagpur. The title of his PhD thesis is "Some new approaches for lifetime maximization in wireless sensor network. www.freewebs.com/padmanabhHe had worked on a project in Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai, as a part of his M.Tech dissertation. Kumar Padmanabh was among the finalists of Indian Mathematics Olympiad 1992 (during his school days) and he was honored for proficiency in mathematics for the same. So far he has published 13 research papers. Some of these papers were published in reputed conferences like IEEE ICPADS 2006, IEEE ICPP-W-2006, IEEE HPSR-2005, 2006. He has been regular a reviewer of IEEE publications. His area of interest is communication networks, sensor and ad hoc networks, high speed data networks, distributed and online algorithms, optimization, stochastic modeling and queuing theory.
