Lindsay Martell is a journalist and voice actor based in Los Angeles. She is currently writing and producing for E! News Now, the groundbreaking news program on E! Online.
She began her television career in the Silicon Valley bureau of CNBC, where she was courtroom producer for the historic Napster v. A&M Records case in 2000. Additionally, she covered the economic downturn, dot com bust, and international product releases by Apple, Intel, and Cisco Systems.
After her stint at CNBC, she spent three years at TechTV, producing technology news and feature programs on automotive design, the 100th anniversary of mechanized flight, and the controversies surrounding digital file sharing and piracy including Music Wars, an hour-long feature program honored with a Beacon Award by Cable Television Public Affairs Association in 2004. Her work appeared in over seventy countries, on CNN Headline News, ABC World News Now. Her print stories appeared on TechTV’s content partner, ABCNEWS.com, Slashdot, Fark, and scores of others.
In July of 2004, she began working with Bader TV News, covering releases by Nike, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft. Soon after, she was tapped to assist the production team of ABC’s Good Morning America at the trial of Scott Peterson in Redwood City, California. In December 2004, she accepted a reporting position in Monterey County - reporting for KION 46 and KCBA Fox 35, where she covered crime, local government and education.
Upon relocating to Santa Fe, New Mexico in early 2006, Lindsay continued to pursue both on-camera and editorial positions as an independent contractor. As a freelance technology journalist, she has written for U.S News & World Reports online enterprise, U.S. News Ventures, Tonic.com, NewsFactor and All Headline News. She has also written for Courthouse News Service, the Curbside Catwalk section of Bluefly.com, Hiragana Times, Oyster Boy Review, and New Moon Magazine.
On the television front, she was tapped to host "Buzzed into the 505" on New Mexico ’s CW network, and contributed to Fashion Televisions globe-trotting shopping show, "Shop the World." Her first documentary, The Firestarters, a short film on the collaboration between acclaimed glass blower Chris Tarpley and potter Nathan Youngblood, was awarded third place at Silver City Film Festival in 2006.
Her recent voiceover clients include FOX Network (Super Fan Radio Sweeps Promo) TMDcreative (Monterey Credit Union commercial), Los Gatos Community Hospital's voice-mail system, TMDcreative's voice-mail system, Santa Fe Community Foundation (regional commercial), and Kinesys Automation, Inc. (industrial commercial).
Prior to her media career, she spent two years in Saitama, Japan, working as a stage actress and a voice actor for DHC Corporation and Frontier Enterprises. She has also modeled for jewelry designer Truman x Jones, Santa Fe Weaving Gallery, and Santa Fe Workshops.
She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in English, from the Honors Program in the Humanities.
