CorVel Corporation (CorVel) is an independent nationwide provider of medical cost containment and managed care services designed to manage the medical costs of workers’ compensation and other healthcare benefits, primarily for coverage under group health and auto insurance policies. The Company’s services are sold as separate services directed toward managing claims, care, networks, reimbursements and settlements. They include automated medical fee auditing, preferred provider networks, out-of-network/line-item bill negotiation and repricing, utilization review and management, medical case management, vocational rehabilitation services, early intervention, Medicare set-asides and life-care planning, and a variety of directed care services, including independent medical examinations, diagnostic imaging, transportation and translation, and durable medical equipment. Such services are provided to insurance companies, third-party administrators (TPAs) and self-administered employers.
