The Rhode Island Academy of Family Physicians

The Rhode Island Academy of Family Physicians (RIAFP) is an over 185-member Rhode Island affiliate of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the largest primary care physician organization in the United States.

Our organization supports ongoing physician education, works with residents in primary care, and advocates public policies to improve the health care system. We work with the Rhode Island Medical Society and the Rhode Island Department of Health, to achieve those aims.

Our members staff private practices and community health centers, deliver babies, make home visits, and treat patients at every hospital in Rhode Island. Our doctors work with schools and day care centers and nursing homes, and care for entire families from every community in the state.
