Founded in 1998 by a registered home healthcare nurse and her husband, Comfort Keepers has grown to 400 locations in 45 states and Canada. Comfort Keepers provides non-medical in-home services primarily to seniors who need some assistance with the daily activities of life. Services include meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation to doctor's visits, and most importantly companionship. Caregivers provide personal attention to their clients on an hourly, daily, or in some cases around the clock. Caregivers are carefully screened via background and criminal checks and are insured and bonded employees, not independent contractors.
