Q-Med AB is a Sweden-based biotechnology company that develops, produces and sells medical implants. Its products are based on the Company's patented technology, Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid (NASHA). The Company is divided into three product areas. The Esthetics product area features natural and degradable Restylane products for filling-out wrinkles and folds, and contouring lips using simple procedures. The Hospital Healthcare product area comprises Solesta, for the treatment of fecal incontinence; Deflux, for the treatment of a malformation of the urinary bladder in children, and Durolane, for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee and hip joints. The Development Projects product area carries out the research of new products. Q-Med AB operates through 14 subsidiaries located worldwide, and its sales operations are conducted through offices in Norway, Belgium and China.
