Meadow Valley Corporation is engaged in the construction industry as both a provider of construction services and a supplier of construction materials. The Company's construction services segment (the CSS) specializes in structural concrete construction of highway bridges and overpasses, and the paving of highways and airport runways. The construction materials segment (the CMS) provides ready-mix concrete, sand and gravel products to both itself and primarily to other contractors. The construction materials testing segment (the CMTS) provides geotechnical, environmental, and field and laboratory technical services to the construction industry. The CSS operates throughout Nevada and Arizona. The CMS operates in the Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan areas, while the CMTS operates in the Las Vegas, Nevada regional area.
