Description
Maryland Truck Parts was founded in 1978 by The Hardisty Family. The company began as a small automotive core supplier. Throughout the years, emphasis shifted gradually into pickup truck salvaging and evolved finally into what it is today; the largest rebuilder and supplier of heavy-duty truck parts in the area.
During its developing years, the company hired mechanics from the area to rebuild transmissions and differentials in the evening. Maryland Truck Parts now has 20 full time technicians, devoted solely to rebuilding. MTP's original full time family four, Radford, Joe, Mark and Vironica Hardisty, grew to include 46 full time employees.
Their complex includes 50,000 sq. ft. under roof on 12 acres in an area that can only be described as meticulously maintained. The sales and delivery fleet has grown to twelve, specializing in the rebuilding of transmissions and differentials; also carrying a large inventory of new brake and service items.
With the advent of new regulations from state, federal and local agencies, Maryland Truck Parts has also gone full bore into the truck recycling business. Careful attention must be paid to area such as waste fluids and rubber disposal, and the way in which many components are recycled.
With a close eye to environmental issues, both present and future, Maryland Truck Parts is a member of:
Automotive Parts Rebuilders Association
Automotive Recyclers Association
MD Auto & Truck Recyclers Association
International Truck Parts Association
