MRV Communications, Inc. is a supplier of communications equipment and services to carriers, governments and enterprise customers, worldwide. The Company is a supplier of optical components, primarily through its wholly owned subsidiaries: Source Photonics and Fiberxon. The Company conducts its business along three principal segments: the network equipment group, the network integration group and the optical components group. Its network equipment group provides communications equipment that facilitates access, transport, aggregation and management of voice, data and video traffic in networks, data centers and laboratories used by telecommunications service providers, cable operators, enterprise customers and governments worldwide. These products include switches, routers, physical layer products and console management products, as well as specialized networking products for aerospace and defense applications. On July 1, 2007, it completed its acquisition of Fiberxon, Inc.
