Description

International Royalty Corporation (IRC) was formed for the purpose of acquiring and creating natural resource royalties with a specific emphasis on mineral royalties. Royalty interests in mineral properties include acquired royalty interests in production stage, development stage, feasibility stage and exploration stage properties. During the year ended December 31, 2007, approximately 95% of the Company’s revenues were generated from the Voisey’s Bay Royalty. On December 13, 2007, the Company purchased four royalties from Goldcorp Inc. (Goldcorp). The Pascua Royalty is a sliding-scale royalty on the Pascua gold project in Chile operated by Barrick Gold Corporation. The Western Australian gold (WAu) royalty is a 1.5% net smelter return (NSR) and applies to more than 3.1 million acres (approximately 1,600 mining tenements) located in the Laverton, Leonora, Meekatharra, Murchison and Southern Cross-Marvel Loch districts of Western Australia.
