CCI is focused on the design and development of screening and diagnostic system that can detect certain types of cancer, including endometrial and cervical cancer, affecting a woman’s reproductive tract. CCI’s initial product, the SoftPAP cervical cell collector, a component of the CytoCore Solutions System, was approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for sale in the United States in February 2008.
