Pethealth Inc. (Pethealth) is a Canada-based company engaged in providing medical insurance for dogs and cats to pet owners in North America. It sells its policies under different brand names using a model, which includes co-branding, white labelling and private labelling programs. The Company, through its Web-based product, PetPoint, is engaged in providing management software to animal welfare organizations in North America. In November 2007, Pethealth launched PawsConnect.com, its online social networking site. The two segments of the Company are insurance operations and its noninsurance operations. The insurance operations consist of the distribution and administration of the PetCare, ShelterCare, QuickCare, CherryBlue and other pet insurance programs. The non-insurance operations are made up of its 24PetWatch, radio frequency identification device (RFID) technology and PetPoint. In July 2008, Pethealth acquired Pet Protect Limited.
