Description

Acadia Realty Trust (the Trust) is a real estate investment trust (REIT). The Trust is a fully integrated, self-managed and self-administered equity REIT focused primarily on the ownership, acquisition, redevelopment and management of retail properties, including neighborhood and community shopping centers, and mixed-use properties with retail components. As of December 31, 2007, the Trust operated 76 properties, which it owned or had an ownership interest in. These assets are located primarily in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern regions of the United States, which, in total, comprise approximately eight million square feet. All of Acadia Realty Trust’s investments are held by, and all of its operations are conducted through, Acadia Realty Limited Partnership (the Operating Partnership) and entities in which the Operating Partnership owns a controlling interest. As of December 31, 2007, the Trust controlled 98% of the Operating Partnership as the sole general partner.
