Union Miles Development Corporation (UMDC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community organization and was organized in 1981 to serve the Union Miles community, through planning and facilitating the development of a range of community development projects and revitalization initiatives that will restore the neighborhood as an economically stable and culturally vibrant community. UMDC is located inside the historic old Carnegie Library on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio on the historic Miles Park Square. UMDC is govern by a Board of Trustees along with a great staff that keeps UMDC running smoothly and efficient in it's day to day operations. To implement its mission, UMDC targets the redevelopment of vacant or underutilized commercial and residential property. Its goal in this regard is to attract new businesses, retain and grow existing businesses, provide access to homeownership opportunities and create employment opportunities for Upper Manhattan residents.
