Description
The Gresswell Cluster of Schools is committed to creating a strong, cooperative public education presence in the community. Individually, our schools have a history of working collaboratively with diverse environmental groups seeking to engage students in real life learning. As a Cluster of schools, we are building on our individual efforts, creating a community of collaboration working towards a common environmental goal.
It is the goal of the Gresswell Cluster to develop an understanding of our natural, cultural and social heritage essential for the development of environmentally informed citizens who are prepared to become involved in their community. Through cross sector mentoring, students will work together at the Gresswell Forest site to monitor and manage the environment.
With the support of our strategic partners such as the La Trobe University Wildlife Reserve, Banyule City Council and Melbourne Water, students will have the opportunity to pursue tasks that demand academic rigour, require sustained effort and provide knowledge and skill enhancement.
