Peerless Systems Corporation (Peerless) licenses, develops and sells imaging and networking technologies and components to the digital document markets, which include manufacturers of color, monochrome printers and multifunction office products. The Company operates through its wholly owned subsidiary Peerless Systems Imaging Products, Inc. (PSIP). The Company develops and licenses software-based imaging and networking technology for controllers in embedded, attached and stand-alone digital document products, and integrates software into the printers, copiers, and multifunction products (MFP) of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The Company intends to focus on the digital content management (DCM) business. On April 30, 2008, the Company sold it intellectual property (IP) to Kyocera-Mita Corporation (KMC). In January 2008, it formed a wholly owned subsidiary, Cue Imaging Corporation, to investigate and explore potential opportunities in the all-in-one (AiO) printer market.
