Double-Take Software, Inc. is engaged in developing, marketing and supporting data protection software solutions for high availability, disaster recovery and centralized backup. The Company’s software is designed to reduce downtime and protect data for business-critical systems. By loading the software onto servers running Windows operating systems, organizations of varying sizes can maintain an off-site standby server with replicated data, providing recovery in the event of a disaster. As of December 31, 2007, approximately 135,000 copies of Double-Take software have been sold and licensed to more than 15,000 customers. Majority of the Company’s revenues are derived from sales of software and related services. Software is licensed by the Company primarily to distributors, value added resellers (VARs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMS), located primarily in the United States and in Europe. In July 2008, the Company acquired emBoot Inc.
