Description
Hamlin has been producing consistently for Key Safety Systems since 1994, initially as a high quality supplier of sensing devices used in electronic crash sensors and is now used for all sensing applications. Key Safety's CEO Jason Luo speaks highly of Hamlin and Hamlin sensing capabilities, "Hamlin always delivers and provides value from concept through production. Hamlin is also our most favored supplier of other electronic needs. We need more suppliers like Hamlin, those that can deliver".
"We need more suppliers like Hamlin, those that can deliver!"
The tougher requirements of the D3 program led Key Safety Systems to ask Hamlin to deliver a hall-effect sensor solution.
Hamlin, building on its partnership with Hall-effect specialist Micronas, was able to deliver prototype parts quickly to meet all Ford pre-production build phases. Hamlin's expertise with hall sensor packaging and their Design Factory approach allowed the parts to be designed, developed and brought to market with world class timing.
The use of the Hamlin's vane sensing solution allowed for confidence in activation/deactivation of the belt buckle sensor. This was a perfect fit to Ford's push for robust systems.
Jason Luo expects Hamlin's success in other markets to bring yet greater knowledge to the automotive field. "Hamlin has immense experience in non-automotive applications. We look forward to them bringing additional innovative sensing strategies to our automotive requirements for future programs".
As Key Safety Systems is leading in the running for future restraint system programs, Jason Luo readies Hamlin for the next wave of programs. "Hamlin will likely be the first supplier for the next generation of belt sensing systems".
As Key Safety Systems has long known, Hamlin delivers high quality solutions for automotive safety critical applications for the most demanding of manufacturers.
