Rotech Healthcare Inc. is a provider of home medical equipment and related products and services in the United States. The Company offers respiratory therapy and durable home medical equipment and related services. The Company provides equipment and services in 48 states through approximately 450 operating centers located primarily in non-urban markets. It provides equipment and services principally to older patients with breathing disorders, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), which include chronic bronchitis, emphysema, obstructive sleep apnea and other cardiopulmonary disorders. The Company's revenues are principally derived from respiratory equipment rental and related services, which accounted for 88.6% during the year ended December 31, 2008. The Company also generates revenues through the rental and sale of durable medical equipment, which accounted for 10.4% during 2008.
