IVAX Diagnostics, Inc. (IVAX) is the parent corporation of three subsidiaries: Delta Biologicals, S.r.l. (Delta), Diamedix Corporation and ImmunoVision, Inc. Through these subsidiaries, the Company develops, manufactures, and markets diagnostic test kits, or assays, and automated systems that are used to aid in the detection of disease markers primarily in the areas of autoimmune and infectious diseases. IVAX's products are primarily associated with the in vitro diagnostics market. These tests, which are designed to aid in the identification of the causes of illness and disease, assist physicians in selecting appropriate patient treatment. Most of the Company's tests are based on Enzyme Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA) technology.
