Novadaq Technologies Inc. (Novadaq) develops and commercializes medical imaging devices for use in the operating room. Its imaging platform can be used to visualize blood vessels, nerves and the lymphatic system during surgical procedures. Novadaq’s first commercial product, the SPY System, allows surgeons to capture, review, print and archive high-quality fluorescent image sequences of the areas of interest, in real-time during complex surgical procedures. The OPTTX System is a single device that is designed to utilize Novadaq’s core imaging platform to diagnose ophthalmic vascular diseases in the back of the eye. In May 2007, Novadaq acquired certain business assets from Xillix Technologies Corp., including Xillix’s native tissue fluorescence, auto-fluorescence and multi modal imaging portfolio. Using this portfolio, Novadaq developed and launched, the PINPOINT endoscopic imaging system for autofluorescence. PINPOINT is the Company’s first minimally invasive imaging system.
