Description
The Evansville Museum continually strives to provide all community members with opportunities for continued education, and we feel that Museum Camp is an important component in fulfilling those needs for children. In an effort to further our mission as a community partner, MUSEUM CAMP 2008 is presented in partnership with the MACYS FUND OF THE FEDERATED DEPARTMENT STORES FOUNDATION.
Designed by the Museum's Education Department, Museum Camp is a fun, safe, activity-filled summer day camp that encourages participatory learning experiences for children who, in Fall of 2008, will be entering grades two through six. The focus this summer is an exploration of the diversity of our state, Indiana. Campers will explore the Museum galleries and learn through creative interactive activities that will include checking out the Koch Planetarium and creating hands-on projects.
Overseen by the Education Assistant and led by Museum Staff and Docents, the program is limited to 50 children to allow generous adult-to-child interaction.
