Avnet, Inc. together with its consolidated subsidiaries (Avnet) is an industrial distributor of electronic components, enterprise computer and storage products and embedded subsystems. Avnet distributes electronic components, computer products and software as received from its suppliers or with assembly or other services provided by Avnet. Additionally, Avnet provides engineering design, materials management and logistics services, system integration and configuration, and supply chain services. The Company has two primary operating groups, including Electronics Marketing (EM) and Technology Solutions (TS). In January 2008, Avnet acquired YEL Electronics Hong Kong Ltd. (YEL). On March 31, 2008 the Company completed the acquisition of Azzurri Technology. On June 30, 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of Horizon Technology Group plc and Source Electronics Corporation. On July 31, 2008, Avnet completed the acquisition of Ontrack Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
