Hallmark Financial Services, Inc. (Hallmark) is a diversified property/casualty insurance group that serves businesses and individuals in specialty and niche markets. The Company offers standard commercial insurance, specialty commercial insurance and personal insurance in selected market subcategories that are characteristically low-severity and short-tailed risks. It markets, distributes, underwrites and services its property/casualty insurance products through four operating units, each of which has a specific focus. Its HGA Operating Unit primarily handles standard commercial insurance. Its TGA Operating Unit concentrates on excess and surplus lines commercial insurance. The Aerospace Operating Unit specializes in general aviation insurance and its Phoenix Operating Unit focuses on non-standard personal automobile insurance. In September 2008, Hallmark announced that it has acquired 80% of the outstanding membership interests in Heath XS, LLC and Hardscrabble Data Solutions, LLC.
