Description
At Diakine Therapeutics, we are dedicated to improving the lives of people with diabetes by providing innovative, safe and effective products that stop the progression of, or reverse, the disease and its insidious complications.

We are a company committed to an atmosphere of creative discovery and of nurturing our core technologies within a framework of focused strategic directions. We aim to maintain the highest scientific and ethical standards and expect those standards to be evident in the quality of all of our products, programs and processes. In turn, by maintaining these standards, we believe they will translate into shareholder and stakeholder value.

DiaKine is built on a solid foundation of outstanding scientific research. Our management team has resident experience in the medical and biotech industry having successfully researched, developed and commercialized numerous products for the global medical markets, in addition to working with strategic partners and distributing directly.

Our Board of Directors has a diverse background ranging from medical practice and medical biotech research to venture capital.

Our proprietary lead compound Lisofylline (LSF), and our next generation of orally bioavailable immune modulators which have a similar or improved spectrum of action to LSF, have the potential to restate the diabetes market by stopping the progression of diabetes and reversing damage caused by the disease. Because of their unique immune modulating and anti-inflammatory properties, our therapies may potentially benefit people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and those suffering from the related complications of retinopathy and nephropathy.

Our in-licensing strategy represents a four year savings in time and development cost and allows the company to participate in the NIH-sponsored Phase 2 human clinical islet transplant trial. Concurrently, we are moving forward with the development of LSF for new onset type 1 diabetes and the development of orals for (LADA), Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults and type 2 diabetes.

We plan to demonstrate a steady and predictable rate of product and clinical development which will be attractive to potential strategic partners. In this way, the company will be able to secure strategic partner relationships that will generate license, milestone and royalty revenues, building to larger direct revenue opportunities.
