All are located in rapidly expanding growth counties surrounding metropolitan Atlanta. Gainesville Bank & Trust is located in Gainesville (Hall County), Georgia, with the main office and five banking facilities in Gainesville, one branch located in Oakwood, Georgia, and one branch located in Buford, Georgia. In addition, Southern Heritage Bank in Oakwood (GA) and Bank of Athens (GA) operate as divisions of Gainesville Bank & Trust. United Bank & Trust is located in Rockmart (Polk County), Georgia, with a branch in Cedartown, Georgia, and a branch in Cartersville (Bartow County), Georgia. Community Trust Bank is located in Hiram (Paulding County), Georgia with one branch in Dallas, Georgia, one branch in Marietta (Cobb County), Georgia, and one branch in Kennesaw (Cobb County), Georgia. The banks provide a full range of banking services to individual and corporate customers in their primary market areas of Hall, Polk, Paulding, Cobb, Carroll, Bartow, Baldwin, Putnam, Clarke, Lumpkin, Gwinnett, Dawson, Forsyth and their surrounding counties. GB&T Mortgage is based out of Cumming, Georgia and services the mortgage needs of each of the GB&T Bancshares' affiliate banks. GB&T Mortgage also has a separate division, Lanier Mortgage, that focuses on online mortgage origination. Our current plans include aggressively exploring opportunities through mergers and acquisitions. Each affiliate maintains its own name and identity in its market, as well as its own senior management and board of directors. This provides affiliate banks a distinct advantage over regional competitors by enabling them to be attuned to their respective communities. While maintaining a high level of customer service, economies of scale enhances profitability in areas such as data processing, accounting, auditing, compliance, loan review, trust and investment services, human resources, training and internet banking.
