Bon Secours Cottage Health Services was created on Sept. 1, 1998, as a joint venture between Bon Secours Health System, based in Marriottsville, MD., and Henry Ford Health System in Detroit. It combined the resources and long-standing traditions of two highly respected, east-side community hospitals - Bon Secours Hospital in the City of Grosse Pointe and Cottage Hospital in Grosse Pointe Farms - enhancing the level of health care services available in the area. Bon Secours Cottage Health Services now includes 28 facilities throughout Wayne and Macomb counties, more than 1,800 employees and 750 physicians representing 40 specialty and sub-specialty areas.
