Delcam plc is a world leading developer and supplier of CADCAM computer software for the three-dimensional design manufacture and inspection of complex shapes. The company was founded by Delta plc in 1977 to design and develop advanced computer-aided manufacturing technology, specifically focusing on numerical control (NC) programming software. In addition to the development, sales and support of software, Delcam offers a comprehensive range of services for toolmakers, model makers and end users that require additional facilities and/or capacity. It is also unique in being the only international CADCAM software supplier with its own toolroom. Based alongside the company's headquarters in Birmingham, UK, the centre houses some of the latest machining and inspection technology from manufacturers such as Matsuura, Bridgeport, Mecof, Renishaw and POLI.
