Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union was established in 1934, as a member-owned, not for profit financial cooperative. This web site has been designed to offer a wealth of information about the products and services offered to you as a Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union member. As a member, you will enjoy convenience and member service that simply is not available at most financial institutions. Once you join, your immediate family members are also eligible to join, and you may retain your membership for life - even if you change jobs, relocate or retire.
To join Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union, you must meet one of the following criteria:
Live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school in and businesses and other legal entities located in Blue Earth, Nicollet, or LeSueur Counties
Have an immediate family member who is a member
Have a spouse who died while within the field of membership
Then, simply complete a membership application and make an initial deposit of $25. Once you join, all your eligible family members are welcome to belong. You can continue to take advantage of your credit union membership for life, even if you move or change jobs.
No minimum deposit is required to open a primary member checking account.
MVFCU started as the Mankato Teachers Credit Union in 1934. We grew to serve almost 80 select employee groups before becoming a community charter in August 2001. We will always remain very dedicated to our teachers and select employee groups. Click here to see a listing of our former SEGs -- please patronize these businesses when you can.
