Radio Satellite Integrators, Inc. (RSI) designs, manufactures, and markets integrated tracking systems for Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) utilizing the Global Positioning System (GPS). Based in Torrance, California, the company was founded with the mission of bringing to market high-performance, low-cost AVL systems meeting the needs of the nascent markets for tracking vehicle fleets with GPS. RSI has focused its research, product engineering, and design efforts on the development of AVL and other GPS based tracking systems that are reliable, easy to use, and fully customizable.
RSI was founded in 1990 to address the emerging needs of integrating GPS satellite positioning technology with wireless communication systems and Geographic Information System (GIS) digital mapping technology for AVL and other tracking systems.
The company has over 150 AVL and tracking systems in place worldwide. In addition to specialty products listed below, applications in which RSI has worked include: public safety, transit, school buses, utilities, public works, postal, and military applications. This segmented and specialized focus has let us understand the issues critical to implementing AVL/GPS with success in these dynamic markets.
Products are developed and designed by RSI and manufactured in state of the art facilities for guaranteed low cost and reliability. Installation and implementation is typically overseen by RSI staff at a client's site.
RSI's customers include: the U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Microsoft, City of Jacksonville, City of Cleveland, City of Long Beach, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Exxon, Chevron, the Alyeska Pipeline, and many others.
